Blogger Cynthia Cynthia's Thoughts

Inspiration can come in any form and at any time. Anime, graphic novels, other graphic designer sites, artist galleries, blogs, and tutorials are just some of my favorite ways to find inspiration. This blog is dedicated to sharing some of my inspirations with you.

I have recently designed some characters based on ideas, concepts, flowers and foods I like. Personifying an idea is one of the best ways to boost some creativity. It is fun to see what other designers and artists come up with when they create a person that represents an emotion, a food, a beverage, or a concept.

For today’s exercise try personifying something that is important to you. You can try to turn your favorite food into a character or draw someone who represents an emotion. The possibilities are endless.
Kimono Girls
I have two series of designs that are based on this concept: the "Kawaii Kimono Girls" are little kimono wearing cuties that represent flowers and butterflies,
and the “Cuppa Kids,” who represent some of my favorite teas. You can view them at my zazzle store http://www.zazzle.com/cmdesignstudio* or on my deviant art account http://metacynth.deviantart.com

Have fun, be creative, and share your personifications with others.

Till next time, keep Reaching for New Designs!
